True Vine Christian Fellowship traces its roots to the start of a small fellowship in the house of a residential neighborhood of 1957 McMinnville, population circa 8000. Moving a total of 3 times in the interim, in 1998 we began worshiping in our current location in the historical section of downtown McMinnville.
We believe we were intentionally led by God to locate “in the heart of the city with a heart for the city.” We are a racially diverse congregation with a heart to worship our God in a contemporary style that connects with our present day culture. We hold to a strong view of the authority of scripture and welcome all who are seeking a deeper relationship with God, through his son Jesus Christ.
Along with a spirit of adoption for orphans, the definition of “orphan” has expanded for us at TVCF. God has led us to reach out and minister to the poor, addicted and homeless of our community. We participate alongside other churches in the community to provide cold weather winter shelter during cold weather events, housing, feeding, and sharing Jesus with the homeless.
We are called to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to worship him in Spirit and in truth. We at TVCF take that mandate seriously. Our worship style is prophetic in purpose, demonstrative in expression, and contemporary in nature. We love to exalt Jesus and revel in the Father’s love for us. Our worship bands use a wide range of contemporary music as well as occasionally enjoying the majesty of timeless hymns. Our hope and goal is to experience unbounding joy as well as intimacy with the Father which often leads to a release of Holy Spirit administered gifts for the edification of the body. We believe worship also softens, plows, and prepares our hearts for an encounter with God to receive the implanted seed of His Word.
